In Classic, trainers present new abilities every other level on the even-numbered levels starting with level 4, so you should plan to visit your class trainer when you gain an even-numbered level. This happens automatically and you don't have to pay for these abilities. You may not be able to buy them all if you are short on gold, so choose carefully.ĭifference between Retail and Classic: In Retail, you get new class abilities every so often when you go up a level. You don't have to buy all spells or abilities. For example, Aimed Shot is learned by the Marksmanship tree talent available after 10 points, and you can purchase ranks 2-6 at levels 28, 36, 44, 52, and 60 through the trainer. Getting new ranks of the talented ability requires buying the new ranks from the trainer as you level. When you learn an ability through a talent, you get automatically get Rank 1 of that ability. These are noted on the Alliance and Horde Trainer Locations above. However, the hunter trainers found in the 1-5 starter zones only train through level 6 abilities. Most hunter trainers will train all levels. After that, new trainer-learned abilities start at level 4, and can be learned every even-numbered level thereafter. When the Season ends, characters will have the option to transfer to permanent Classic Era realms before the Season servers are shut down. Seasons will have six content phases, lasting roughly 2 months for each phase, for a total of a 12 month cadence. World of Warcraft Classic is getting its first "Season" with Season of Mastery.
